JOB SUMMARY 

 

The Senior Manager, Canada Cobrand Program, is a member of the International Cards team. In partnership with internal colleagues, American Express, and agency partners, this role is responsible for growing our Canadian credit card program, delivering on account acquisition and spend goals, managing card offers, as well as driving new cardmember loyalty and engagement.  Specifically, this role will play a key role in managing and executing offer strategy, optimizing marketing planning across internal and external channels, planning and executing cardmember events to increase cardmember engagement and influencing key stakeholders to meet and exceed new card acquisition and spend goals. 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE  

Education and Experience  

Required 

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major; or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional perform5nce 
  • Significant marketing or product management responsibility, with track record of growth 

 

Preferred

  • Member acquisition experience  
  • Campaign management experience 
  • Experience measuring campaign performance and executing print/digital marketing plans 
  • Demonstrated ability to build forecasts and manage multiple budgets based on best ROI 
  • PR, Social Media and SEO marketing experience a plus 

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES  

Marriott Primary Channel Card Acquisitions 

  • Lead and influence strategies to drive portfolio growth for Canadian Cobrand Consumer and Business Cards, with focus on the Mass Affluent audience 
  • Plan, coordinate, implement and manage digital acquisitions marketing campaigns, creative, assets and offers on web, mobile app and email 
  • Manage campaign and segment optimization, budgets and reporting to achieve acquisitions KPIs 
  • Manage offer optimization and personalization, with internal and external stakeholders, to target the right offer in the member/customer lifecycle 

 

Support Key Card Acquisitions Channels 

  • Develop creative and coordinate execution of Direct Mail and Paid Media acquisitions campaigns, in partnership with external agencies and bank partners, focusing on efficiencies and new account growth 
  • Support expansion of On Property and associate card acquisitions efforts  
  • Manage the development and implementation of marketing assets and campaigns across internal and external channels 

 

Existing Customer Marketing 

  • Monitor the share of wallet, customer sentiment and benefits of each of the card portfolios 
  • Partner with digital, insights and agency partners to develop and maintain cardmember lifecycle journey and templates 
  • Oversee Cardmember benefits and experience, working with IT, CEC, Operations as needed to ensure timely delivery of benefits, points awards and file updates  
  • Coordinate with banks and internal teams on resolving customer issues as needed 
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Loyalty and Hotel assets to drive engagement and buzz, including Marriott Bonvoy Moments, new hotel openings, etc. 
  • Manage card member events and other activities to drive loyalty and improve card member sentiment (NPS)  

 

 

International Market Support 

  • Oversee ad-hoc marketing projects and provide support across the International Cards team as needed, to support Global Cards strategic goals
