Steward Guest Service Attendant

Purpose

The Steward Guest Service Attendant is responsible for providing efficient, courteous, and high‑quality service to guests while maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and service standards in food and beverage areas or assigned operational outlets.

Key Responsibilities Service & Guest Experience
  • Greet guests warmly and assist with seating where applicable
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to requests, inquiries, and concerns professionally
  • Follow service standards and brand guidelines at all times
Operational Duties
  • Set up and clear tables or service areas before and after service
  • Ensure correct placement of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and linen
  • Assist in maintaining stock levels and replenishing service items
  • Support kitchen or service teams during peak hours
Cleanliness & Hygiene
  • Maintain cleanliness of service areas, back‑of‑house, and equipment
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards strictly
  • Dispose of waste properly and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum high school certificate or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or customer service preferred
  • working rights in Fiji
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
  • Team player with good time management skills
