Tactical Intelligence Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Tactical Intelligence Manager plays a key role in Marriott International's Global Safety and Security Intelligence function by designing, maintaining, and optimizing automated intelligence workflows that transform global security event data into actionable alerts and intelligence products. The role serves as the operational bridge among Global Safety and Security Intelligence, Crisis24 Horizon Companion, Factal, GIS platforms, SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI, and notification systems. It drives intelligence process automation, exception management, workflow governance, and operational analytics to improve the speed, accuracy, consistency, and scalability of tactical intelligence alert dissemination for Marriott assets, travelers, executives, offices, data centers, and brands.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, Security Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, International Relations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in intelligence operations, security operations, workflow automation, business intelligence, or data analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform technologies to translate operational requirements into automated business processes. 

Preferred

• Experience with Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, APIs, low-code automation, or data integration tools to support workflow automation and reporting. 
• Experience working within a Security Operations Center, Global Security Operations Center, Intelligence Center, Crisis Management Team, or Risk Operations environment.
• Familiarity with GIS platforms and geospatial analysis, including applications in traveler tracking, executive protection, travel risk management, and security intelligence. 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Intelligence Workflow Automation

• Design and maintain automated workflows that ingest information from intelligence and monitoring platforms including Factal, Crisis24 Horizon Companion, traveler tracking systems, activism monitoring platforms, and internal reporting channels. 
• Configure logic that automatically categorizes incidents using extant Marriott GSOC alert categories and decision trees. 
• Develop workflows that determine alert severity classifications (Critical, Warning, Informational, No Further Action) using predefined business rules.
• Drive implementation of AI-assisted event classification and alert summarization capabilities.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to eliminate repetitive manual tasks currently performed by GSOC watchkeepers.

Tactical Intelligence Operations

• Oversee the performance and reliability of automated intelligence pipelines and investigate workflow failures, data quality issues, and processing exceptions.
• Establish and execute quality assurance reviews of automated alert outputs.
• Assess geospatial intelligence workflows that identify Marriott assets within established alert proximity thresholds to determine when escalation or additional analysis is required. 
• Own and maintain automated intelligence tripwires, risk triggers, escalation rules, and alert routing criteria.
• Develop and maintain intelligence collection requirements and monitoring priorities for GS&S regional teams. 

GIS, Asset, and Traveler Intelligence

• Maintain data quality standards for geospatial datasets relating to Marriott properties, offices, data centers, travelers, maritime assets, and executive travel. 
• Develop and optimize automated proximity analysis workflows that identify affected assets and travelers during emerging incidents. 
• Serve as operations subject matter expert for geospatial reporting and mapping functions.
• Partner with internal teams and external providers on the integration of Horizon Companion and GIS-derived exposure reporting. 

Executive Travel & Protective Intelligence Support

• Lead automation of executive and VIP travel monitoring processes.
• Maintain workflows that identify elevated-risk destinations, CSAR level triggers, and impacted executive itineraries. 
• Develop automated executive travel risk notifications and intelligence summaries, and recurring risk-reporting products.
• Coordinate with GS&S stakeholders on protective intelligence monitoring associated with executive travel programs. 

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Develop and maintain dashboards and performance metrics measuring alert volume, workflow efficiency, alert accuracy, processing times, and operational workload.
• Lead recurring reviews of automated alert , trend reports, executive summaries, and workflow effectiveness Analyze trends and operational data to identify risks, control gaps and opportunities for program improvement. 
• Analyze Crisis Hotline activity, GSOC alerts, traveler impacts, and intelligence program performance. 
• Develop Power BI dashboard and analytical products that provide leadership with actionable operational intelligence.

Platform Integration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with GS&S Intelligence, Technology, Crisis24, Factal, and other vendors to improve system integrations and operational performance. 
• Lead assessment and implementation of enhancement across SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and alerting platforms.
• Establish and maintain workflow architecture, business logic, automation standards, and operational procedures.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of workflow failures, recommend process improvements and monitor solutions through implementation.
• Lead migration of SOP-driven manual workflows into automated operating models.
