JOB SUMMARY 

 Marriott International is entering an exciting new chapter of growth and evolution. We are seeking a highly strategic and visionary Vice President, Global Retail & Boutiques to lead the development and execution of an impactful strategy for Boutiques and other global retail initiatives. This pivotal role is essential in driving the growth and transformation of Marriott’s retail platforms, ensuring they deliver exceptional value and experiences to our guests. They will be responsible for managing and scaling retail partnerships and platforms and ensuring the effective execution of high-quality physical and digital retail experiences. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail management, digital marketing, and strategic partnerships, with experience in managing P&L responsibilities and driving profitability. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can stay ahead of industry trends, identify new opportunities, and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of retail. 

 CANDIDATE PROFILE  

 Education and Experience  

 Required 

4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Retail Management or related major. 

12+ years of relevant professional experience in retail management, digital marketing, or 14+ years in a related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and patterns of exceptional performance. 

Demonstrated ability to negotiate and nurture strategic partnerships that drive business growth in the retail sector. 

Proven track record in managing and scaling retail platforms. 

Experience managing P&L responsibilities, ensuring financial targets are met and driving profitability. 

 Preferred 

Trend Analysis: Ability to stay ahead of industry trends and identify new opportunities for retail experiences. This includes being proactive in exploring emerging technologies and innovative approaches to enhance guest experiences. 

Event and Experience Execution: Hands-on experience in planning and executing large-scale retail events and experiences. This could involve coordinating logistics, managing budgets, and ensuring high-quality delivery of memorable experiences. 

Process Experience: Expertise in the design and development of processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. 

 CORE WORK ACTIVITIES  

 Strategy Development & Execution 

Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for global retail and Boutiques platforms. 

Define processes and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of physical and digital retail initiatives. 

Provide regular updates, presentations, and reports to senior leadership on retail activities, progress, and outcomes. 

 Operational Excellence 

Continuously analyze customer feedback to improve and innovate retail offerings. 

Drive continuous improvement in physical and digital retail execution and processes. 

Manage P&L responsibilities for Boutiques, ensuring financial targets are met and driving profitability. 

 Platform Management 

Oversee the development and evolution of Marriott’s retail platforms. 

Partner across teams and disciplines to enable the seamless integration of retail platforms into the broader technology ecosystem. 

Partnership Development 

Identify, secure, and nurture high-impact partnerships in the retail sector. 

Negotiate mutually beneficial partnership agreements to maximize shared, long-term value. 

The salary range for this position is $177,075 to $296,500 annually. Marriott offers a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, other life and work wellness benefits, and may include other incentives such as stock awards and deferred compensation plans.
